BG Top Ten

Well folks, we’ve made it through the most difficult month of the year, and by now, chances are you have all given up on your eat less/spend less resolutions. Great news! The pace is starting to pick up gain in our city and we’ve got an exciting To Do list for you to do before the month it over.

Buy, sell, bargain, swap, eat, drink, socialize – It is time for another Second Hand Social! Head down to O’hanlon’s Pub on Saturday, February 20 for your pick of top-notch second hand dubs and locally made art. With All Day Breakfast & Pint for $10, crib, and scrabble, you’ll find it hard not to stay all day!

Explore – Take advantage of the favorable weather and experience art{outside}, an outdoor art exhibition featuring high quality reproductions of art works from the MacKenzie Art Gallery’s permanent collection. Find the seven works displayed in Victoria Park, City Hall, and at the MacKenzie Art Gallery, and post a shot with the hashtag #artoutsideyqr for a chance to win a prize pack from the MacKenzie. More info

Hang – Open for just over a month now, 331/3 Coffee Roasters is fast becoming a favorite hangout for many locals. The community space, shared by T+A Vinyl and soon to be Malty National, is the perfect spot to spend a few hours conversing with friends and strangers, trying on vintage apparel, and sipping on Regina’s finest cup of joe (in our humble opinion).

Make time to attend a few of the many events happening over the three-day festival, which includes workshops, speakers, performances, and The Largest Gluten Free Bannock in the World (we’ve got your attention now!).

Treat yourself – For some of the best pastries in town, take a short stroll out of the downtown core to Cafe Francais. The French bakery and coffee shop offers a bright and cozy space to enjoy a delicate pastry and coffee or tea, or a delicious lunch. The friendly staff and small fancy details (they provide table service once you have ordered and bring your tea in fancy china) make for an all-around enjoyable experience.
